My summer holiday in 2009 was used on EWH Summer Institute in Tanzania, which was a fantastic worth-while experience, both professional and personal. During my stay I experienced among other things:

• Knowledge of the language Kiswahili.
• Competent education in repair of medical equipment.
• Community in African families and in the group of students.
• Technical challenges during troubleshooting of broken equipment.
• Grateful hospital staff at two local hospitals I was attached to.
• Repair of different equipment from irons, wheelchairs and curtain rails to ultrasound machines, blood chemistry analyzer, ventilator and anesthesia machine.
• Fantastic weekend excursions.
